Team Description:

Enterprise Customer Intelligence (ECI) is a team of product managers, data scientists, program managers and engineers who are passionate about enabling financial products to be aware and adaptive to consumers' needs. We develop APIs, data platforms and tools for Capital One to develop and apply continuous customer understanding and context in all our consumer products and experiences.

We believe deep understanding of our customers will help us deliver simple, intuitive, and innovative experiences, drive differentiation in the marketplace, and simultaneously create business and consumer value.

Role Description:

We are looking for a seasoned product leader to manage the core ECI Platform, where mountains of historical data and rivers of events are combined to continuously produce actionable customer insights. These insights enable product managers, developers and analysts to utilize customer context when building customer-centric products that solve business problems.

Accountabilities:

  • Define the product/platform vision, strategy and roadmap that will support operational use cases across web, mobile, and conversational customer experiences.
  • Lead teams of product managers, designers, data scientist and engineers to deliver a flexible, scalable, high-performance platform that results in real business and customer value.
  • Collaborate with enterprise technology and data teams to inform enterprise data system and infrastructure priorities and roadmaps.
  • Partner with consumer product and business teams to support and inform their priorities and roadmaps.
  • Lead and scale the organization through change, evolution, and growth.


The ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven track record successfully creating and managing scaled data-driven products, platforms and services.
  • Experience navigating large organizations, developing collaborative relationship and influencing across various partner groups.
  • Technical fluency in areas including distributed storage and computing, streaming data, large-scale data analytics, machine learning, and general software design and development.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and tested team building, management, and people development experience.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced dynamic environment and managing change.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in technical product management


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • MBA or Master's Degree
  • 10+ years of managing complex and data-heavy products, platforms and services
