Sr Data Engineer, Card Customer Experience

The Team and Role:

The Customer Management Team is looking for an experienced Sr Data Engineer to help build cutting edge big data solutions for Capital One's cloud. You will work closely with business leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and deliver solutions that build long lasting customer relationships with our customers. We are currently seeking data engineers in both McLean, VA and Richmond, VA.

Basic Qualifications:

-A Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience

-At least 2 years in coding in data management, data warehousing or unstructured data environments

-At least 1 year experience working with a big data technology

Preferred Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience working with leading big data technologies like Apache Spark, AWS, DevOps

- 1+ years experience with PostgreSQL or NoSQL implementation (Mongo etc. a plus)

- 2+ years experience developing Java/Scala based software solutions

- 2+ years experience in at least one scripting language (Python, Shell)

- 2+ years experience with UNIX/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting
