Capital One is actively seeking highly creative and intellectually curious Senior .NET Software Engineers who are passionate about coding to join our team! This is an opportunity to display knowledge of your craft by having a hand in building large scale reliable applications to impact the way that Capital One does business. You will participate in detailed technical design, development and implementation of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. Working within an Agile environment, you will actively participate in story planning and detailed daily standups, while providing input for architectural design decisions, and developing code to meet story acceptance criteria.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, develop and maintain applications to enhance the performance and reliability of our current applications, as well as participate in the development of new capabilities leveraging technologies such as C#, JavaScript/HTML5/CSS/Sass, ASP.NET MVC, and SQL Server.

Design and develop service oriented architecture solutions, constructing and managing services published to both internal and external consumers, integrating with complex database and third party components.

Architect, design and develop platform level components including event architectures, messaging, and caching solutions.

Collaborate with other developers on best practices, code reviews, internal tools and process improvements.

Guide, coach and mentor team members as required, assisting in the team's skills development during software development projects.

Analyze and conceive solutions, and develop prototypes for next generation components to extend platform architecture, solve complex business problems and extend business functionality.

Developing automated tests, predicting areas of risk, and coordinating with our QA staff to achieve the best blend of error prevention and error detection possible.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience with .NET development
  • At least 3 years experience in Agile practices
  • At least 5 years of experience with C# development, ASP.NET, MVC 4.0, Web API
  • At least 5 years of experience with MS SQL Server development, stored procedures, optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree

5+ years of experience with SPA using AngularJS

5+ years experience with C# development

5+ years experience with ASP.NET

5+ years experience with MVC

5+ years experience with MS SQL Server development

5+ years experience with AngularJS development

5+ years of experience with AWS

3+ years Experience with Java, Eclipse IDE, Drools Engine.
