Senior Software Engineer - Data

What you'll work on:

Connecting systems: Take disparate tools and data sets and join them together to form an enterprise pipeline that serves teams across our digital platforms, both web and mobile

Driving continuous improvement: Optimize and solidify the team's development and deployment process. Bring best practices from prior experience and drive change. Experiment with new tools.

Building Dashboards: Develop an in-house lightweight, intuitive and scalable AB Testing Dashboard that breaks down large data sets from various lines of business, displays accurately and close to real time, provides the ability to set up and configure AB test plans with custom events, triggers and notifications and stores results reliably.

What you'll do:

  • Create, and iterate on ETL processes. using Spark, Redshift, and other AWS services.
  • Implement data and process validation to ensure quality, accuracy and resiliency
  • Work with data analysts to integrate new data sets, bringing onboard different lines of business and internal platforms
  • Mentor team members on engineering best practices.
  • Explore new technology to improve our value to the business.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year creating ETL processes using AWS services, provisioning, configuring and securing
  • At least 7 years of experience in software engineering
  • At least 1 year of experience in data engineering
  • At least 1 year working directly with business stakeholders to determine product roadmap and timeline of feature development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in Data Engineering using tools such as Spark and Redshift
  • 1 year of experience with Optimizely, Adobe Target , A/B Testing Tool and Framework
  • 2 years of experience with Agile Practices
