Senior Research Analyst - REITs

Summary:

Capital One Securities has an immediate need for a Senior Analyst to join our growing REIT research team located in Tysons Corner, VA. The Analyst will report to the Lead REIT analyst and will be responsible for collaboratively working with the Lead REIT analyst to develop, build, manage, and maintain industry sector coverage list(s) with the goal of building a franchise team. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a sell-side research team on a specific REIT sector and possesses the ability to work within a team and on a self-directed basis; and possess excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the Lead REIT Analyst
  • Produce sector and company reports and presentations for internal and external constituents
  • Monitor multiple information sources on sector or company specific news items and trends
  • Maintain macro and industry data series and company specific financial models.
  • Develop industry contacts and proprietary information sources
  • Actively engage clients and issuers directly to enhance platform value and visiblity
  • Develop actionable investment ideas and pro-actively communicate through sales and outbound client calls
  • Attend industry and company sponsored conferences and field trips
  • Conduct field research and property tours
  • Other duties as necessary


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree
  • At least seven years of real estate experience
  • At least five years in a real estate research role
  • FINRA Licensed with valid Series 7, 63, 86 and 87


Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or CFA
  • 7 years experience as a REIT equity research analyst
