About the Group:

The Commercial Strategy team is a group of approximately 15 resourceful and highly motivated professionals within the broader 50+-person Commercial Strategy & Innovation organization dedicated to setting the segment's strategic direction and exploring the potential to create disruptive, digital products. The team selectively engages on the highest-impact issues that drive the direction of the Commercial Bank, collaborating closely with Company leaders and commercial banking lines-of-business.

About the Role:

Commercial Strategy & Innovation is seeking high-performing self-starters eager to disrupt traditional modes of banking and define the future of Capital One. Senior Managers will lead and contribute to the development of credible, data-driven recommendations within collaborative strategy case teams. Hires are expected to be inventive problem-solvers both comfortable addressing ambiguous questions and executing sophisticated analyses. They will manage workstreams and present their findings and recommendations to senior leaders, with whom they will be thought-partners. Successful Senior Managers will have the opportunity to work closely with a variety of partner teams, including innovation teams located in our Digital Lab, finance teams, technology teams, risk management teams, and product management teams.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional teams and leverage data and analysis to solve complex business problems
  • Develop and lead projects that produce substantive, grounded casework
  • Build working relationships with Commercial Bank lines-of-business and other partner teams
  • Develop casework findings and recommendations for senior leaders, including Company senior management
  • Assume leadership role on project and people management
  • Promote the culture and values of Capital One and the Commercial Strategy & Innovation group

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree

• At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis

• At least 2 years of experience in qualitative analysis
• At least 1 year of experience in people management
• At least 1 year of experience in project management

Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in management consulting or relevant fields with a record of strong performance
