Senior Director, Talent Management & Leadership Culture

As Senior Director for Talent Management & Leadership Culture, you will be accountable for developing and deploying our performance management and talent development strategy across the enterprise. You will help create an environment that supports, elevates and recognizes amazing people leadership. In partnership with our Human Resources consultants and Learning consultants, you will develop a leadership curriculum that starts with first time leaders and spans to our most senior executives. You will also lead two enterprise wide leadership development programs that differentially invest in high potential people leaders. Additionally, you will assess and enhance our enterprise wide performance management process to better support the associate development experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and evolve our enterprise talent management strategy
  • Curate, Develop and Lead enterprise leadership learning strategy (inclusive of differential investment in high potential leaders)
  • Create a world class people leader culture
  • Develop and deploy a curriculum for people leaders from first-time people managers to experienced organizational leaders
  • Develop and evolve our enterprise wide objective to tangibly reward associates for people leadership
  • Reinvent our approach to leadership learning in partnership with our associate learning organization with real time, always curious tools and curriculum
  • Innovate on our people manager survey to truly hear from associates about great people management at Capital One
  • Partner with HR and Business leaders across the company to evolve our talent management processes and cultivate a people leader culture
  • Leverage outside-in learnings to advance our people leadership culture


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 7 years of delivery experience
  • At least 2 years of people management experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in HR, Leadership Development programs or other relevant experience
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced project management skills including the ability to adapt to a changing environment and manage a wide variety of projects
