About the Group:

The Commercial Strategy team is a group of approximately 15 resourceful and highly motivated professionals within the broader 50+-person Commercial Strategy & Innovation organization dedicated to setting the segment's strategic direction and exploring the potential to create disruptive, digital products. The team selectively engages on the highest-impact issues that drive the direction of the Commercial Bank, collaborating closely with Company leaders and commercial banking lines-of-business.

Commercial Strategy & Innovation is a critical component of this advantage, and is helping to chart the Company's path forward by working closely with technologists, data scientists, and designers to upend old models of banking and transform the industry.

About the Role:

Commercial Strategy & Innovation is seeking high-performing self-starters eager to disrupt traditional modes of banking and define the future of Capital One. Senior Business Analysts will contribute to the development of credible, data-driven recommendations within collaborative strategy case teams. Hires are expected to be inventive problem-solvers both comfortable addressing ambiguous questions and executing sophisticated analyses. They will present their findings and recommendations to senior leaders, with whom they will be thought-partners. Successful Senior Analysts will have the opportunity to work closely with a variety of partner teams, including innovation teams located in our Digital Lab, finance teams, technology teams, risk management teams, and product management teams.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Harness data and analysis to solve complex business problems
  • Develop and lead workstreams that produce substantive, grounded casework
  • Build working relationships with Commercial Bank lines-of-business and other partner teams
  • Communicate casework findings and recommendations to senior leaders
  • Assume increasing responsibilities on projects and team initiatives
  • Promote the culture and values of Capital One and the Commercial Strategy & Innovation group

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree

- At least 1 year of experience in analysis

Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in management consulting or relevant fields with a record of strong performance
