Senior Analyst, Capital Markets and Risk

Capital One is seeking a motivated professional to join the Finance Risk Management (FRM) group as an Senior Associate. The governance and control function within the FRM is responsible for identifying and monitoring the business risk associated with the balance sheet management activities and projects. This function is also responsible for managing the governance compliance requirements by other risk oversight functions across the company. We are seeking dedicated, disciplined, process and control professional who excels in a team environment. This person needs to have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and have the ability to adapt to change quickly. This person also needs to have experience in driving cross-functional projects. This is an excellent opportunity to continue your career in the field of Process Control Management.

  • Assist assessment of business risks and controls for treasury and balance sheet management activities.
  • Support the design and implementation of key controls which ensure appropriately mitigate risks.
  • Consult with process owners on how to resolve issues and implement changes, supporting and influencing prioritization.
  • Assist process owners to prepare for and execute audits and exams, consult on management responses, and monitor timeliness of remediation and closure. Influence communication and interaction with auditors and examiners
  • Understand and interpret tools such as swim lane process maps, critical-to-quality trees, performance metrics, control plans, RACI roles/responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree or Military experience
- At least 2 year of process management experience

- At least 2 year of compliance experience

- At least 1 year of audit experience or at least 1 year of risk management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in Compliance or 3+ years of experience in Risk Management
- 2+ years of experience in Process Management.

- Lean certification, or Agile certification, or Six Sigma certification, Business Process Management certification, or Project management certification

- Possess a good understanding of JIRA and Tableau.

- Proficient in MS Office Suite
