Senior Accounting Associate, Regulatory Reporting Project Delivery

The Regulatory Reporting Change Management team within Capital One is looking for the right individual who shares these values and seeks continual growth and challenge in their career. We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Regulatory Reporting Change Management team as a Senior Associate in the Project Delivery team.

This role will support multiple line of business initiatives and system conversions in order to ensure full integration of impacts into the various reporting processes as a Regulatory Reporting SME (Subject Matter Expert) within a LOB (Line of Business), accounting Agile pod. You will take on important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with key stakeholders across Global Finance. You will have the opportunity to excel in a collaborative environment and have the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company's bottom line. You will utilize your excellent communication skills, very strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and your ability to adapt to change quickly.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support various projects across lines of businesses
  • Collaborate with teams across Global Finance in an Agile environment
  • Drive engagement in corporate initiatives, ensuring impacts to our processes are adequately identified, communicated and implemented
  • Lead, assist, and execute in the development, testing, and implementation of requirements
  • Present results, findings, risks, and recommendations to key stakeholders and leadership
  • Develop strong subject matter knowledge around regulatory reporting requirements and BAU (Business As Usual) reporting processes, quickly navigating a learning curve to understand Regulatory Reporting impacts


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Military Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting or at least 3 years of experience with financial reporting


Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA certification
  • Regulatory reporting experience at financial institution
  • Project management experience in an Agile environment
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or 3+ years of experience with financial reporting
