Sales Analyst- GovCon & C&G

The Sales Analyst for the Government Contracting Finance Group and Convenience and Gas Team will act as a dedicated resource at the transaction level to assist in tracking/analyzing all aspects of deal related activity. The Sales Analyst will work with Team Lead, Senior RMs and the Marketing & Analytics team to identify market trends/opportunities, track and highlight competitive dynamics, and manage internal information flow as required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for complete and up-to-date salesforce data, including pipeline accuracy
  • Partner with M&A on Salesforce Effectiveness to drive a true relationship model
  • Work with M&A and sales leadership to drive effective salesforce utilization
  • Maintain "Deals Done Away" report
  • Manage master Sponsor and Direct Client database and related information
  • Participate on pipeline and PPR calls
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Tombstone database / League Table process
  • Research, identify and track overall client activity
  • Assist Team Lead in general information requests
  • Assist with KYC
  • Maintain master debt and EV comp databases
  • Maintain and update various coverage lists using CapitalIQ, BGov and other available resources
  • Assist in the preparation of client transaction marketing material including pitch book development and other marketing initiatives


Industry specific research:
  • Deep dive into specific contracts
  • Identify large contract awardees
  • Create and maintain industry specific databases
  • Build national prospect database
  • Tracking M&A deals, structures, comps
  • Creating thought leadership programs
  • Coordinating outreach prospecting for conferences


The Ideal Candidate will Possess:
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask & effective communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Experience working with improvement methodologies
  • Experience with marketing analytics, quantitative analysis and reporting
  • Experience researching market data
  • Experience delivering data quality and reporting solutions within the financial services industry


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Bachelor's Degree in Business
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • At least 1 year of analytically oriented financial services experience
