Principle Associate, Critical Business Process Validation & Process Governance

As a Principle Process Manager for Commercial Process Governance within the CTS Simplicity, you will own and coordinate all aspects of the Process Maturity & Sustainability Assessments (PMSA) conducted for the Commercial Bank. These assessments are facilitated on an annual basis for each process, along all Commercial lines of business. An integral part of the assessment (and the driver for its prioritization) is the evaluation and validation of all Critical Business Processes (CBP), which is also a responsibility in this role. You will educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders concerning the utilization of the PMSA, Operational Risk Management standards, and Control Governance requirements for Capital One Enterprise.

We are seeking a dedicated, disciplined process professional who excels in a team environment and is an expert in process improvement. This individual will have demonstrated that they can improve company processes in the past, resulting in saving time and resources for the company. This individual must be able to effectively communicate and influence partners across the company and across multiple levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic agile environment are essential to succeeding in this role. This individual must display strong leadership skills and be able to drive and motivate teams in delivering flawless execution of process improvement projects.

General Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing, evaluating, and validating processes for Sustainability, Maturity, and Criticality using the PMSA scoring evaluation
  • Designing and producing metrics and reporting used to measure PMSA outcomes and CBP Certification
  • Catalyzing and driving process improvements aligned with desired customer outcomes
  • Collaborate with teammates on larger initiatives; may participate on cross-functional project teams and provide input for process improvement initiatives.
  • May develop project plans to execute process development and/or re-engineering
  • Communicate updates with internal customers on new or existing processes; includes communications at the executive level
  • Provide customer service or training to users on process updates or rollouts
  • Facilitate working groups or presentations to a wide variety of teams and job levels ranging from process performer to executive level
  • May or may not manage other associates
  • Interact with and influence partners within Risk, Compliance, and Audit

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Process management
  • At least 2 years of experience in Project management
  • At least 2 years of experience in Relationship management
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • At least one of BPM, LEAN, Agile, or Six Sigma Certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Agile Scrum Master
  • SLQ2CQ Coach or Certification
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
