Principal Coordinator, Enterprise Wire Operations

Capital One Commercial Operations is looking for candidates for the 'wire operations' team, which supports the enterprise to process inbound and outbound wire payments. An ideal candidate is expected to execute activities in a fast-paced, multi-function, multi-operation team, tasked with delivering an exceptional end-to-end payments experience for our customers. This role includes the timely and accurate execution of the domestic and international wire requests.

***Must be available to work shifts between 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and processes incoming/outgoing wire requests.
  • Researches and resolves a wide variety of issues and queries using independent judgment with little or no assistance
  • Inputs data changes on a wide variety of accounts
  • Able to identify issues and risks associated with transactions and escalate appropriately
  • Able to make effective independent decisions, when necessary
  • Works with management to identify process improvements
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly within and across the value stream
  • Contacts internal customers for wire authorizations
  • Investigates and resolves customer issues with little or no assistance
  • Work flow management
  • Cross training on different wire functions
  • Able to perform all business functions related to wires process including 'start of day' and 'end of day' tasks
  • Influences positive behaviors and integrative thinking

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Military Experience
  • At least 1 year of banking experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 1 year Banking experience preferably in a payment services role
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)
