Principal Associate, Access Control Badging Administration

The Badging Administrator will serve as a critical point of contact between Global Security and Capital One's lines of business (LOBs), providing advice and solutions for all Badging Operations and ensure mitigation of strategic, operational, and tactical risks. Badging Administrator will perform assessments of all badging offices and independent badging operations performed by contract security officers under the direction of the Security Operations team. Badging Administrator will ensure operations follow Global Security Enterprise Procedures for Badging and provide direct input for associated Enterprise Requirements and Procedures covering Badging functionality. Badging Administrator will partner with both internal and external clients through a combination of internal relationship management, applied business analysis and project management to support improvement and business cases with Badging implications. Badging Administrator will gain senior management support for security initiatives that will yield significant business impacts. Badging Administrator will develop metrics and execute tests and programs to assess compliance with badging-related requirements, procedures and applicable banking laws and regulations. Typically works under with minimal supervision, with latitude for initiative and independent judgment.


  • Remotely oversee and manage Badging offices enterprise-wide to include international locations to ensure consistency with process and record retention
  • Develop or update requirements, procedures and or policy to meet changing business or risk conditions
  • Conduct periodic meetings with all badging personnel, creating agendas, including critical discussion topics, and review best practices. File meeting minutes
  • Develop or update metrics to meet business need
  • Generate requested Badge usage and system reports as needed
  • Manage support for Human Resources Onboarding programs
  • Creation Access Levels, Area Zones, and other Access Management system needs without relying on Integrator
  • Provide necessary training regarding proper Badging operations, Lenel Credential Center, and other system work-steps
  • Create or provide input to Department training and operational manuals (Digital Manual, job aids) and cascade to Badging Operators
  • Provide basic data entry and administration support as needed
  • Engage in regular communication with the security consulting team, GSOC and other LOB associates
  • Oversee Badging Supervisor to ensure administrative tasks required for Capital One are completed efficiently and on time for all badging offices
  • Complete monthly quality assurance reports, SarbOx, and audits of Badging Operations

The Badging Administrator hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however business requirements may dictate slight variations to accomplish business and Enterprise Badging Operational goals

Basic Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree
  • At least 2 years' knowledge of Lenel OnGuard
  • At least 2 years with Microsoft Office software suite
  • At least 2 years Access Control Systems, their functionality, and badging operations

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years of management experience
  • At least 5 Years knowledge of Access Control Systems, functionality, Badging operations
  • At least 5 years of Business systems knowledge (SharePoint, Brio, and similar filing and reporting tools)
  • Lenel Certified Associate (LCA), Lenel Certified Professional (LCP)
