Manager, Network Security Operations--Cyber Countermeasures

Capital One is looking for a bright, passionate and dedicated individual to join our Data Security Operations team. This individual will be responsible for efforts to support our Network Security program and enterprise cybersecurity systems with a focus on our Perimeter Security and Network Compliance program. This position will report to the Network Security Operations team and will be responsible for ensuring that our cybersecurity systems function efficiently and effectively within a complex, multi-domain environment. The candidate will be responsible for execution and support of a rapidly growing network security program that covers both on premise & cloud environments. Configuration, implementation, ongoing management, and support of a world-class network security program are key duties associated with this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage intrusion prevention/detection technology roadmap
  • Oversee lifecycle management of network security platforms
  • Manage and oversee network security policies
  • Coordinate with our Security Intelligence Center analysts to ensure that tools are optimally tuned in a manner that's transparent to our users
  • Tune and maintain network security monitoring/alerting systems
  • System Change Management Lead
  • Perform system incident response and function as an Incident Response Team leader
  • Perform regular testing and security assessments of existing infrastructure
  • Lead cross-functional resources and share security insight and best practices with other teams
  • Work on security-related projects, including assessment, design, and deployment of configuration of network security and related systems
  • Development and maintenance of procedural documentation like standard operating procedures and program documents
  • Provide security-related metrics for executive-level dashboards and presentations

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent Certification or Military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience working with cyber-security and information security risks and controls
  • At least 2 years' experience with endpoint-based Data Loss Prevention tools
  • At least 2 years' experience of data analytics and reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' Degree or military experience
  • Certifications: Network+, Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, BPM/LEAN/Six Sigma
  • At least 5 years' experience developing and communicating recommendations to non-technical business areas
  • At least 5 years' process management
  • At least 1 year experience in Agile project management methodology
  • At least 1 year working experience with an enterprise Data Classification program
