Manager - Enterprise Risk Management - Business Transformation & Change

Capital One's Enterprise Risk Management Team (ERM) has responsibility for helping the overall organization identify, manage, and mitigate key risks that may keep the company from achieving its strategic objectives through managing risk is for our businesses, our customers, our communities and our associates. ERM is currently hiring for a Business Transformation Manager who will be responsible for managing change in support of ERM's portfolio of programs and horizontal services and will create a brand that manages the position and perception of ERM. This will be a critical role with accountability for broad company-wide initiatives driving significant efforts such as new systems, methodologies and tools to help our businesses manage risk.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop change management strategies, complete change management assessments; conduct impact analysis, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders across our portfolio
  • Create, design and deliver for the five change management levers; communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan
  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness through the definition and measurement of success metrics and monitoring programs
  • Consult with program and horizontal teams and coordinate efforts with other specialists
  • Manage the change portfolio
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with excellent active listening skills
  • Proven ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Influence others and moves towards a common vision or goal
  • Shows flexibility and adaptability working in ambiguous situations; resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
  • Organize with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
  • Problem solve with root cause identification skills

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or Military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in change management
  • At least 3 years of experience in project or brand management
  • At least 3 years of experience working with internal business customers

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, J.D, or master's degree
  • At least 7 years of experience working with internal business customers
  • At least 3 years of experience with digital transformation including technical programs and project life-cycle
  • At least 3 years Risk Management or Governance experience
