Manager, Product Management - Small Business

Our Small Business Credit Card team is building new financial products, core capabilities, and customer experiences to meet the needs of an emerging segment of heavy-spending customers (think millions of dollars each year). This team owns the full scale product development process from identifying customer needs to evaluating business opportunity and developing solutions with a team of engineers (and then re-starting the cycle as we tailor the offering to customer needs). This team also supports and influences the infrastructure necessary to drive customer and business success in this exciting segment.

You'll be the Product Manager influencing both where we invest to support future growth and how we do so. As our vision soars, so must our capabilities and you'll help inform and drive that agenda. To fit in, you'll need to be equally comfortable talking to techies in our sprint teams, cool designers, and data-minded business analysts - and love those interactions. You will do it all in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibility, and promotes continuous learning.

Here's what you'll need to be successful:

  • A bias towards learning in market or with testing, learning from failures, and iterating quickly
  • The vision and rigor to identify opportunities and uncover untapped needs through customer research
  • A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics
  • The ability and drive to deliver on those insights by developing a product vision and strategy for core financial products in a fluid environment
  • A tendency and desire to bring structure and urgency to work
  • A willingness to get out and travel to our internal and external customers 20% of the time

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in digital product management

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • MBA or Master's degree
  • 3-5 years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
  • 2-4 years of experience in Agile product management

At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
