Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership to a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle
  • Co-create a strategic vision for external developer / partner facing highly available platforms and products.
  • Collaborate with architects, other teams, product owners, and software engineers to drive implementation of robust platform capabilities and experiences.
  • Exceptional written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to interact and build strong partnerships across organizational boundaries.
  • Influence with a strong positive attitude: Drive consensus across cross functional leaders and teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Conduct design, architecture and code review to ensure compliance with standards
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, unstructured environment
  • Ensure adherence to continuous improvement practices as required to meet quality / time to market imperatives
  • Maintain records to document program development and revisions
  • A robust portfolio of shipped code on GitHub or other open Source contributions and experience with distributed/scalable systems is a plus

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years' building and leading full stack (Java / Spring / Go, NodeJS, Javascript) software engineering teams in a fast paced environment
  • At least 5 years' experience in leading development of highly available, operationally mature platforms / products
  • At least 5 years' experience with object-oriented programming, functional programming, and data design
  • At least 5 years' experience in designing, developing scalable web applications and architectural standards
  • At least 5 years' experience with cloud computing platforms
  • At least 3 years' of experience operating in Software Engineering space with DevOps thinking
  • At least 2 years' of experience in technologies building and managing Container management and orchestration platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Experience building and launching customer facing, highly available (24x7) developer platforms
  • Experience building financial systems in banking industry
  • Experience co-creating a strategic vision / road maps and delivering early to market MVP solutions leveraging exploratory fail fast methodologies
  • 10+ years in inspiring, coaching and growing highly performant software engineering teams
  • 10+ years' experience in a hands-on full stack software development (Java / Spring / Go, NodeJS, Javascript)
  • 8+ years' experience in designing, developing scalable web applications and architectural standards
  • 8+ years' experience in Agile practices
  • 5+ years' experience in Cloud engineering / infrastructure management, DevOps methodologies and container management technologies.
  • 5+ years' experience working with Amazon Web Services
