Director, Product Management - Marketing Operations

Capital One is seeking a talented Director,Product Management -Marketing Operations to join the Marketing team in McLean, VA or Richmond, VA.

COF is focused on creating the best digital experiences for our prospects and customers. As our approach evolves, we are seeking a digital marketing expert to help bridge process and technology with marketing strategy and business goals. This person will be highly knowledgeable about CRM, marketing automation, email tool implementation and usage, data capture and management across all marketing channels.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive vision and strategy by leading product/tech discussions and developing marketing UX with product teams
  • Gather requirements, build use cases, and represent marketing needs within the Marketing Technology solution group at Capital One
  • Own longer term martech product as we think about future innovation. Here, you'll:
    • Identify opportunities and uncover untapped needs by leading interviews and discussions with current internal business partners
    • Perform marketplace and industry analyses with the goal of identifying product opportunities, and uncovering potential market and partner/vendor plays
    • Lead development (or enhancement) of internal capabilities that can be provided at scale to marketers
    • Be responsible for implementation/adoption/performance of the product experience
  • Additionally, we need someone to:
    • Partner with Card Customer Experience to reimagine the customer journey through technology and create scalable processes across the customer lifecycle
    • Partner with Digital team to remove friction from customer service through data
    • Partner with Analytics & Infrastructure to integrate into existing systems and applications as appropriate
  • Ideal candidates will have:
    • Passion for the latest marketing technologies
    • Comfort level for networking and influencing across the business
    • Excellent organizational skills and have capacity to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
    • Drive to innovate, with strong business and marketing acumen
    • Ability to take and refine existing processes and apply them enterprise-wide
    • Level of technical understanding to guide integrations and interfaces to adjacent systems
    • Track record of being a highly self-motivated, proactive contributor who works well as an individual and within a team environment

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 7 years experience leading cross functional product teams
  • At least 7 years experience building consumer digital products

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree
  • 5+ years' experience in financial services or other regulated industry
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in multi-solution environments with data and technology-oriented responsibility
