Director, Capital One Labs "Accelerator"

Capital One is taking that challenge head on and rapidly transforming into America's leading technology based bank. We've weaved tech into the DNA of our company and delivered award winning banking and credit apps with 4+ star ratings and millions of users. Now we are setting our sites on disrupting the industry.
Within Capital One, Capital One Labs is a technology incubator that lets us reimagine finance from within. We challenge orthodoxy, push the limits of technology and leverage our formidable resources to create innovative new products and businesses for Capital One. We have locations in New York City, San Francisco and right outside Washington DC.
We are looking for a Director of Labs Operations. This person would run our internal accelerator, a program to identify, pitch, build and test disruptive new ideas. You would help us apply lean product development techniques to vet new product and business opportunities. You'll help us crowdsource ideas from around the company, prepare the best ideas for pitches, make investments decisions, set aggressive goals, and hold teams accountable by progressively growing efforts that succeed and aggressively pivoting or killing the ones that don't.
Run an internal startup accelerator. Learn, adjust and refine the program so we constantly improving at accepting the right ideas and developing the best pitches.
Manage a small team with superpowers in lean startup, product discovery and business model development to supports accelerator teams.
Track funded products, ensuring we have clear OKRs, regular stakeholder reviews where projects are held accountable and grown, pivoted or killed based on results
Support funded projects in their "acquisition" by Capital One lines of business and graduation into the line of business

Have run or had an influential role at a technology accelerator

Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 5 years building and shipping consumer products
At least 3 years' experience managing people
At least 1 years' Agile Product Management experience
At least 5 years technology startup experience
MBA or Master's degree
