Commercial Real Estate, Asset Manager I

Commercial Real Estate, Asset Manager- Bethesda, MD

The Asset Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of an assigned portfolio with primary focus on monitoring risk while providing exceptional customer service.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial statements and property operating statements
  • Prepare Annual Reviews in the required timeframe
  • Perform ongoing risk analysis, ensuring timely risk detection and appropriate monitoring
  • Communicate results of analysis, including reviews and quarterly monitoring forms, to involve relationship manager, credit office, and borrower as needed.
  • Conduct property inspections
  • Review of loan documents and other agreements
  • Monitor portfolio undertakings and loan covenants
  • Review reserve draws
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports on the portfolio
  • Process assumption and consent requests
  • Manage client relationships, providing excellent customer servicing while enforcing loan document/lender requirements.
  • Conduct market research and prepare market reports
  • Prepare loan and portfolio level status reports
  • Comply with all Investor monitoring

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a major or substantial coursework in business, finance, or economics

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2 ytears of work experience in commercial real estate including asset management experience
  • Proficiency in analyzing property operating statements, rent rolls, and borrower financial statements and in modeling complex financial scenarios
  • Highly developed analytical skills including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and financial analyses
  • Outstanding writing skills and oral presentation ability
  • High integrity, the ability to communicate articulately and concisely, strong interpersonal and partnership skills, achievement drive, and intellectual curiosity
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint
