Business Director, Treasury Management Product Strategy and Analytics

The Role:

Capital One is looking for a Business Director to lead product strategy and analysis for its Treasury Management business. You'll team with world-class professionals to drive bottom line results in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibility, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation.

The Business Director will lead a team of associates and will partner with senior leadership to:

  • Identify ways to enhance business performance through product portfolio optimization, pricing innovation and high impact marketing initiatives
  • Develop long term product vision and strategy for Treasury Management business
  • Deliver revenue and profitability targets for Treasury Management (payments, liquidity and data) products
  • Work with business lines and sales leaders to identify opportunities for improving penetration and retention of Treasury Management products in the Commercial Bank
  • Define strategic opportunities, develop supporting business cases and work with stakeholders to build consensus on priorities
  • Utilize data analysis and integrative thinking to drive decision making
  • Leverage written and oral communication abilities coupled with influencing skills to drive agreement with the department leadership as well as partner teams

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of solving complex business problems and driving results leveraging analytics and quantitative skills
  • Solid business judgment and strategic thinking
  • Experience in building, managing and developing teams
  • Ability to manage up, across, and down in a large organization and win support for change recommendations
  • Ability to support and lead new business initiatives from ideation through implementation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to influence senior executives
  • Genuine intellectual curiosity and passion for achieving business results
  • Comfort establishing relationships with individuals in a wide range of job families
  • Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated results in developing and implementing strategic initiatives, preferably within a matrix organization

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Computer Science, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, or Engineering) or military experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Analysis using SQL, SAS, or Excel
  • 5+ years of experience in managing teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or other advanced degree
  • Experience in Commercial Banking and/or Payments industry
  • Experience in Management Consulting
