Customer Service Representative & Shipper Receiver - Toronto

Cansel is looking for a dynamic and performant Shipper/Receiver - CSR to join our Team. This role will be at our location in Etobicoke (2 - 81 Kelfield Street, M9W 5A3) for the first few weeks and then will be moving to our new location in Richmond Hill (25 E Pearce St., L4B 0B2).

Our dual role of Customer Service Representatives and Shipper receiver are keys to our success and play an important role in building and maintaining client relationships.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain excellent customer service relations
  • Process orders; primarily by telephone, but also occasionally walk-in customers
  • Perform shipping/receiving duties, such as liaising with couriers and packing products for shipping and organize appropriate records in our computer database
  • Support sales activities & engage in proactive selling
  • Expand current customer base
  • Occasionally demonstrate equipment to customers
  • Coordinate service repair and rental administration
  • Maintain inventory database (SAP) and keep warehouse area tidy and safe
  • General branch administration and other duties as assigned or required
  • Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance of safety policies and procedures
  • Manage open orders, back orders and blocked orders on a regular basis
  • Resolve product and service problems enhancing customer satisfaction

About you:
We are looking for an energetic individual able to work within a team environment and prefers to work with minimal supervision. To succeed in this position, you will possess the following characteristics:
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal communication, & telephone skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work activities appropriately and be proactive
  • Remaining calm and upbeat in a fast-paced and pressured atmosphere
  • Forward-thinking and the ability to be proactive in selling
  • Self-discipline and highly organized with ability to take initiative around the site
  • Ability to foster strong workplace relationships to create a positive work environment
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and personal commitment to get the job done
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer information systems
  • Minimum one-year customer service, shipping and/or administrative experience
  • Ability to lift 50lbs


Bonus Points
  • Knowledge of SAP (or other ERP)
  • Experience in the Wide-format, land surveying, or civil engineering industries
  • Forklift certification
