Wholesale Merchandise Coordinator

Position Overview:

The Wholesale Merchandise Coordinator will drive and support topline sales through product knowledge education, brand merchandising standards, supporting in-store events, effective account communication and developing strong account partnerships. This position will continually work cross-functionally with internal teams to relay feedback and partner on key initiatives throughout each quarter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate product feedback, style selling and inventory clogs, reorder requests and competitive information
  • Continually relay location changes, shop adjacencies and seasonal floor moves
  • Consistently email store recaps to sales/planning and senior management based on suggested guidelines
  • Daily/weekly communication with store partners based on the needs of the business
  • Develop and implement action plans for opportunity doors
  • Schedules store visits based on business needs and reacts to the ever changing environment of each location and category within
  • Represent brand at store level to motivate, engage and excite store associates
  • Partner with all levels of store and regional management in order to ensure brand awareness and support
  • Effectively communicate visual presentation standards to stores
  • Coordinates flow & placement of new merchandise receipts with visited doors in a timely manner
  • Ensure markdowns and POS strategy are executed and placed appropriately at store level
  • Host and execute quarterly product knowledge trainings; initiate monthly merchandise and visual based trainings
  • Coach and develop store on selling techniques and skills specific to the brand
  • Work with visual merchandising team to develop strategies and incentives to drive and support the business
  • Follow-up with store line and corporate office equally to ensure projects remain on task and on time
  • Constantly challenge yourself to develop new ideas for trainings, meetings, events, contests, and additional ways to motivate your teams and drive business
  • Support Visual Merchandising initiatives and partnerships when needed

Experience, Education and Designations:

  • A post-secondary degree in related field
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong awareness of weekly top door and overall territory sales trends
  • Knowledgeable on weekly and monthly sales goals in key businesses
  • Ability to multi-task and be able to stay on top of your territory's multiple issues at one time
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and make efficient, informed, and confident decisions in the field and beyond
  • Ability to delegate to store teams to assist with specific projects or feedback
  • Problem solving and dealing with ambiguity are key skills as there will be issues which arise on a consistent basis and you need to make the best, most efficient and informed decisions comfortably
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills paired with a team player mentality
  • A clear sense of urgency to achieve results. A "can-do", "let's make it happen" attitude
  • Embrace continuous improvement by proposing new and/or better ways of doing things

Working Conditions:

  • Retail and office environment
  • Must have valid driver's license to travel to various retail locations
  • Flexible schedule for travelling to support entire VM team including tradeshows, showroom, conference
