Position Overview:

The primary role of the Sales Operations Analyst is to provide information, analysis, and insight to various stakeholders relating to revenue, sales order books, and inventory. The Sales Operations Analyst liaises cross functionally with Sales, Planning and Retail Specialist team members in performance of daily duties. Key information deliverables for this role are standardized business reports, financial reporting, pricing integrity, Available-to-Sell inventory and order book reporting.

  • Financial Reporting
  • Support quarterly report
  • Support latest estimate & budget reporting
  • Develops new analysis and capabilities
  • Report Automation
  • Work independently & with IT to automate repetitive tasks
  • Build models to perform required calculations (Excel & Anaplan)
  • New Tool Implementation
  • Data modelling & dashboards

Experience, Education and Designations:

  • University degree in the field of business, engineering, computer science or mathematics
  • 2-5 years working in related field such as finance analytics or sales operations
  • Experience in retail/manufacturing and/or distribution environment strongly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft AX or other ERP systems is an asset
  • Experience with Anaplan or other data modelling systems is an asset
  • Experience with Tableau, PowerBI or other data visualization tools is an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (modelling, data manipulation/transformation, pivot tables)
  • Capable of synthesizing insights from a variety of analytical dimensions (financial, sales, and inventory)
  • Demonstrates relationship building, communication, and presentation skills
  • Able to plan and balance project workload with ad-hoc requests
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Independent thinker able to conceptualize, develop and implement process improvement
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and problem solving attitude. Able to break down problems into meaningful parts and come to rational and well-thought out conclusions.
