Sr. Software Engineer

Outcome / Responsibilities:

  • Work with a team to solve business requests with solid and realistic project scopes and timelines
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, while interfacing with internal stakeholders and technology teams
  • Strong communicator – you have the ability to fully explain technical problems, make recommendations and find solutions to achieve business goals
  • Responsible for maintaining software systems: core imaging, search, product recommendation and image analysis
  • Ability to open a Visual Studio project in C#, find faults, concerns and make recommendations
  • Ability to share knowledge and help mentor junior engineers
  • Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

    • Strong technical background – Preferably in the Microsoft technology stack (.NET) and experience with WCF, Web API, Rabbit MQ, HTTP and Socket
    • Previous experience with a service and message based architecture
    • Have a passion for emerging technology and eCommerce
    • Possess a strong understanding and proficiency of HTTP, HTML and CSS
    • Familiar with a continuous integration environment
    • Experience in an automated testing environment


    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred, or 6 years of experience in software development
    • 5+ years as a .NET Engineer in a corporate environment utilizing an OO language


    Supervisory Responsibility:

    This position has no supervisory experience

    Work Environment:
    This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
