Vice President, Transformation

Lead Information Technology's (IT) business transformation by identifying, planning and strategically executing large-scale change projects in a shared services model to minimize redundancy, reduce complexity and contribute significant cost savings while enhancing workforce capability and improving customer service and experience. Create an IT operating model which will allow Caesars IT to align to fundamental market shifts while driving speed and agility. Design and direct a Performance Management and reporting process and system to drive business alignment and provide a high quality feedback.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead the IT organization to operational efficiency by driving the strategic identification, planning and execution of business transformation projects.
  • Obtain buy-in for future-state plans to integrate required business architecture, execute high level process changes and maximize improvement opportunities.
  • Translate business vision and strategy into tactical plans by refining the business case and collaborating with leaders to define service delivery offerings and ensure commitment and support for transformation objectives and infrastructure necessary to deliver operational excellence.
  • Build high performing teams by assembling multidiscipline subject matter experts (SMEs), developing methodology for planning and execution, ensuring a common understanding of project objectives, identifying and managing risks and removing project obstacles to enhance productivity and minimize distraction and disruption.
  • Govern and manage work-stream process integration to shared services model by overseeing change management activities, communicating shared services benefits and transformation objectives to key stakeholders and identifying, acquiring and allocating required resources to drive high quality, timely and within-budget project outcomes.
  • Develop and implement business performance tracking metrics by identifying key performance indicators, measuring progress and impact of change and reporting results to ensure transparency of financials, communication of realized benefits and enhanced employee engagement.
  • Identify dependencies and areas of contention with other work-streams and drive the achievement of program plan that captures and appropriately manages all challenges and considerations, including people, process and market related.
  • Apply organizational expertise, continuous improvement methodology and business knowledge to create a consistent approach to evaluating core processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, developing employee re-engineering skills, building support for change and guiding project execution to achieve business goals and deliver financial benefits.
  • Plan, allocate and manage financial budget by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibility.
  • Develop a culture of continuous process improvement by utilizing subject matter expertise to develop employees re-engineering skills, consulting leaders on benefit and risk and communicating business impact to leverage synergy, mitigate risk and ensure competitive advantage of the organization.
  • Direct workflow redesign, process defect elimination, competitive benchmarking, performance metrics development, data collection and the application of statistical and mathematical optimization techniques to improve the economics and quality of operations.
  • Lead all aspects of operational efficiency initiatives by demonstrating large-scale program management expertise and partnering with senior leaders to execute and sustain key initiatives which seek to simplify workflow, eliminate redundancy and achieve efficiency.
  • Oversee program and project engagement by embedding decision making methodology, standards of execution and evaluation of implementation to ensure projects enable achievement of business strategy.
  • Apply organizational expertise, continuous improvement methodology and business knowledge to develop a consistent approach to evaluating core processes, identifying opportunity for process improvement, building support for change and guiding project execution to achieve business goals and deliver financial benefit.
  • Drive a performance management culture by mobilizing and developing individuals at all levels, encouraging cross-team and cross-function collaboration and leading the IT department to achieve positive results for the organization.
  • Plan, allocate and manage financial budget by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibility.
  • Foster a positive environment by modeling cultural expectations and guiding leaders to reward performance and value "can do" people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun.

Responsibilities Include, But May Not Be Limited To The Following

  • Lead the mobilization of change in IT business models and process management through transformation across the IT organization.
  • Manage and direct business transformation activities and initiatives within IT and collaborate and partner with business leaders from Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Operations and Sales to create a differentiating business model.
  • Guide operational leaders in understanding and usage of quality and continuous improvement methodologies by establishing links between process management initiatives and business strategies and identifying and prioritizing high-impact opportunities.
  • Drive new programs, processes, and systems through the rigorous use of change management disciplines, throughout the business and validate the outcomes have meaningfully impact on business or functional performance.
  • Analyze and assess internal effectiveness in delivering services/technology to the market and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate both strategic and crisis opportunities for improving the core business.
  • Develop, plan, recommend and execute initiatives that have multi-functional or multi-organizational impact to achieve ultimate effectiveness.
  • Evaluate the implication of recommended initiatives and effectively communicates impact and resolutions to affected business groups and their senior or executive leaders.
  • Use quantitative/statistical process modeling and simulation techniques and tools to improve quality, client experience, lower costs and cycle time.
  • Create forecasting models to predict future process/system performance based on changes implemented.
  • Establish acceptable and realistic success and performance metrics with functional and business line inputs and utilize these metrics to deduce critical areas of improvement for delivering world class services and profitability for the business units.
  • Create and manage a communication strategy that reinforces performance management and feedback philosophies and ensures employees are informed about required activities, relevant dates, and tips to facilitate success.
  • Prepare and distribute regular scorecards and other reporting as needed focusing on quality, process KPIs and project or initiative status.
  • Assess benefits (tangible and intangible), including financial ROI, etc. and determine variance to the predictive/ forecast models.
  • Lead and facilitate best in class benchmarking and business process design.
  • Act as a "business champion", internal consultant and proactive strategic driver for IT in situations with business partners such as Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Operations and Sales.
  • Proactively support staff development including individual and team goals, coaching and counseling, training plans, mentoring and career planning.
  • Identify, recommend and manage budgeting requirements for cross-organizational initiatives.
  • Lead the deployment, refinement and governance/standards of business transformation methodology across IT and mentors team members and SMEs on the methodologies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

10-15+ years related business experience. Gaming experience preferred but not necessary.

Extensive experience in successful implementation of large-scale business transformation programs and projects; 15 or more years of progressive experience in program management, business analytics, business transformation and change leadership. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with potential competing interests to ensure timelines and objectives are consistently met. Prior experience working with senior management to establish the appropriate agenda for business transformation. Proven track record of managing a complex and broad range of strategic projects at the Enterprise level. Exceptional organization and project management skills.

Education

Master's Degree in business or a computer science-related field or the equivalent experience with certifications (such as six sigma or project management) preferred.
