Tax Compliance Coordinator

The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the tax department through both administrative and tax compliance-related tasks. Fields general tax questions from gaming properties and assists them in reviewing and filing their annual Federal tax withholding returns. Prepares and files all annual reports for all entities enterprise-wide. Processes contracts, invoices, and check requests as needed in A/P software. Manages Pcards and expense reporting for the department. Works with our IRS representative to troubleshoot notices, request account transcripts, and correct deposit errors. Assists properties with resolution of civil penalties. Prepares monthly accruals and maintains calendar of annual report filing obligations. Maintains the corporate organizational chart and coordinates changes with legal department. Processes, mails, and tracks all tax deliverables (notices, returns, etc.). Performs various administrative tasks as required by the department.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred. Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong organizational skills. Must be able to type 60 WPM. Must have experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word. Must be able to perform multiple tasks simulataneously. Ability to work independently. Must be able to contribute positively to department morale and be a team player.
