Risk Engineer

The position of Risk Engineer is responsible for assisting the Director, Environmental Health & Safety to strategically improve the Company's loss control efforts centered around engineering reviews, property appraisals, electrical safety programs, corrective action management, vendor management, response to emergency incidents, program planning, and ongoing communication with property and corporate stakeholders . This position will provide best-in-class services efficiently, timely and in a cost-effective manner by anticipating, addressing and creatively resolving issues in a manner that optimizes business results, all within the framework of the Company's compliance, regulatory and code of commitment obligations.

• Guide the annual property appraisal program used for property insurance management
• Lead property loss engineering efforts with vendors and carriers, developing an effective corrective action closure position to ensure continuous improvement
• Track performance of physical loss control programs to demonstrate effectiveness
• Assist in managing incident responses to events at the properties
• Support first party claim filing processes and interactions with the properties
• Review root cause incident reports for corrective action verification and completion
• Assist in project management for engineering aspects of risk initiatives including vendor interaction, property coordination, and troubleshooting
• Actively participates in property insurance renewal programs and strategy discussions
• Assist in handling property damage and business interruption claims, seeing them through to resolution
• Ability to analyze data to help identify trends, significant exposures, and areas of opportunity
• Serve as primary point of contact for resort inspections through travel partners

• Degree in engineering or other relevant formal education/certifications strongly preferred but not required
• Some experience with loss engineering and property insurance strongly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of building construction and mechanical operations in large facilities
• Gaming or hospitality experience a plus, but not required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including recognizing and appropriately responding to others' perspective
• Self-motivated and efficient, with good business judgment and analytical skills
• Detail oriented and organized
• Resourceful and efficient in completing assigned tasks with strong follow through skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, metric-driven environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
