Meetings Sales Intern (CES)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Intern will assist with specific projects such as website developments, planning video shoots and development of database marketing strategy. Learn aspects of advertising, special events, public relations, internet marketing, and catering/convention sales. This will allow the intern to gain the knowledge of a marketing generalist while also taking the lead on individual projects as assigned by the specialist. The end goal of this internship program is to provide a valuable education and experience of marketing in the meetings industry.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  1. Responsible for updating sales and marketing information online including directory listings and websites

  2. Property photo audits, catalog changes and organize property photo shoots

  3. Building and making updates to our website.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Positive, can-do attitude required

  2. Skilled communicator with good verbal, written and interpersonal skills, able to speak, read and write English fluently

  3. Comfortable working independently, but able to function effectively as part of a team

  4. Well organized, detail oriented, and able to handle tasks under minimal supervision

  5. Proficient in use of PC computer, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Chrome

DESIRED:

  1. Experience or interest in marketing or the meetings industry

  2. College level coursework in marketing, communications or related concentration
