Meetings Marketing- Public Relations - Fall Internship **Unpaid**
The main focus of the intern's responsibilities will be public relations, but he/she will also learn aspects of advertising, events, database marketing, internet marketing, and catering/convention sales. This will allow the intern to gain the knowledge of a marketing generalist while also taking the lead on individual projects as assigned by the specialist. The end goal of this internship program is to provide a valuable education and experience of marketing in the meetings industry.
Assist with creation of content for monthly e-newsletters, press releases, and other collateral
Review and update fact sheets, collateral, and property photos as needed
Write, proofread and edit copy, video scripts, sponsored content/advertorials, etc.
Learn branding, advertising, internet marketing, public relations and digital communications
- Assist with internal and external requests for press information and materials
Positive, can-do attitude required
Skilled communicator with good verbal, written and interpersonal skills, able to speak, read and write English fluently
Comfortable working independently, but able to function effectively as part of a team
Flexible, versatile, multitasker and a fast learner, capable of adapting to a fluid environment
Well organized, detail oriented, and able to handle tasks under minimal supervision
- Proficient in use of a PC computer, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Chrome
