Meetings Marketing- Public Relations - Fall Internship **Unpaid**


The main focus of the intern's responsibilities will be public relations, but he/she will also learn aspects of advertising, events, database marketing, internet marketing, and catering/convention sales. This will allow the intern to gain the knowledge of a marketing generalist while also taking the lead on individual projects as assigned by the specialist. The end goal of this internship program is to provide a valuable education and experience of marketing in the meetings industry.


  1. Assist with creation of content for monthly e-newsletters, press releases, and other collateral

  2. Review and update fact sheets, collateral, and property photos as needed

  3. Write, proofread and edit copy, video scripts, sponsored content/advertorials, etc.

  4. Learn branding, advertising, internet marketing, public relations and digital communications

  5. Assist with internal and external requests for press information and materials


  1. Positive, can-do attitude required

  2. Skilled communicator with good verbal, written and interpersonal skills, able to speak, read and write English fluently

  3. Comfortable working independently, but able to function effectively as part of a team

  4. Flexible, versatile, multitasker and a fast learner, capable of adapting to a fluid environment

  5. Well organized, detail oriented, and able to handle tasks under minimal supervision

  6. Proficient in use of a PC computer, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Chrome
