JOB SUMMARY
Our Transaction Advisory and Litigation Support Group (TALS) team provides savvy insight into complex transactions, financial issues, and forensic accounting. We assist business owners in mergers and acquisitions and provide turnaround services for troubled companies. We help companies develop sustainable valuations that will withstand scrutiny of the IRS, the Courts and potential buyers. We also provide highly credentialed expert witness testimony and technical analysis to attorneys on complex financial issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform due diligence and other transaction advisory engagements.
  • Provide day-to-day analysis on transactions, valuation, fraud, and litigation support projects
  • Interact with clients to gather information for analysis projects
  • Calculate economic damages and perform financial analysis on accounting-related aspects of complex commercial matters, including lost profits, reasonable royalty, unjust enrichment, diminution in value, increased costs, etc.
  • Conduct and supervise forensic accounting/fraud investigation engagements
  • Train and develop staff, both technically and professionally
  • Delegate work to staff according to their experience and capabilities
  • Review staff work
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • 2 years + of recent audit experience in public accounting, or other relevant transaction advisory experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Master's Degree a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to distill complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Familiarity with intermediate-level accounting issues (reporting systems, managerial accounting, tax returns) , economics, finance, and statistics
  • Critical and logical thinking abilities
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • A self-starter
  • Ability to work with changing client-imposed deadlines
  • Ability to work on multiple engagements concurrently
  • Excellent client relationships and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS
  • Strong leadership qualities
