Sr Dir- Applications Planning

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the data needs of the LTX platform. This includes performing analysis of proprietary Broadridge data, including transaction and position records to identify those data elements that will be utilized in pre-trade analytical tools being developed for LTX clients. In addition, the Director will document requirements for 3rd-party data needed to develop the system and work with the procurement team to ensure delivery of this content. Lastly the Director will provide business guidance to the development team to ensure that the LTX platform meets the needs of users working on modern fixed income trading desks. Manage data modeling of reference data and pricing data for LTX platform.
Manage the prioritization and implementation of additional data sources.
Provide guidance to the technology teams for the implementation of analytics.
Design data visualizations of the predictive analytics for use in client applications.
Lead and/or support the development of business cases.
Manage the change portfolio and change load.
Track and report issues.
Ensure that projects are adequately resourced.
Direct resources on assigned projects and ensure clarity of project roles and responsibilities.
Ensure business needs and objectives are effectively captured in functional and non-functional business requirements and/or process/workflow.
Manage business requirements to meet expected business solutions and trace delivery of requirements through to testing and final delivery.
Manage project quality through activities such as establishment of a test strategy, quality standards and quality metrics.
Ensure that project documentation is complete, current and stored appropriately.
Provide individual and portfolio project status reporting.
May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Skills/Competencies

Proven product management experience with fixed income trading applications.
Ability to negotiate effectively with business and IT partners on business requirements and timeframes on mid-size initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to balance the need to gather detail with the need to solve the problem.
Good general management skills including: strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills, strong facilitation and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate and influence through active engagement with colleagues and motivation of others to deliver to the common goal.
Effective team leadership and organizational development capabilities.

Qualifications
5+ years of experience in fixed income trading or research
Bachelor's Degree required
Proven experience in the fixed income market with exposure to a variety of operational and client service functions, including examples of providing leadership launching new products and services
In-depth technical understanding of pre- and post-trade workflows
Experience leading teams and partnering cross functionally and internationally
Previous exposure to the sales process preferred though not essential
Experience in dealing with clients and associated operational risk matters
Ability to develop strong collaborative working relationships with key Client, Business and operations partners
Able to work actively with others to resolve and raise issues appropriately
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high self-assurance, energy and drive
Strong presentation skills and ability to adapt to audience at all corporate levels
Ability to analyze, synthesize and present data in a concise and easy to understand style
Expert communicator, strong interpersonal skills; ability to think strategically
