Job Description
The Solution Architect will be part of the Enterprise Transformation team which is tasked with designing the Future State Architecture for Broadridge. There are multiple applications being modernized as part of our technology transformation and the Solution Architect will help analyze, design and execute the best architecture for those applications. In parallel they will be leveraging and developing the architecture standards for Broadridge. This will be aligned and measured against the business requirements and revenue goals of our businesses.
In this role you will provide architectural design and implementation guidance to the development teams of the transformation projects. You will have to act as lead architect, translating requirement into modern architecture while reusing architecture standards or setting them as required. Success of the role will be in the reusability and delivery of the modern transformed architecture. This is a highly technical and hands-on role that will test your creative curiosities to problem solve, institute new solutions, and assume ownership through the delivery of strategic technology solutions. In this role you will have the opportunity to collaborate with various business units and gain insight into a number of other product offerings.
What you’ll be doing:
Provide strategic oversight for transformation projects, roadmaps, and architectural recommendations.
With a focus on simplification and modernization, develop a perspective on new architecture patterns including on-premises and cloud, integration best practices, and devops.
Make technical proposals, solution presentations, Proof-Of-Concepts and preparing statements of work.
Become a technical trusted advisor to prospects and customers; understand their needs and propose specific solutions based on our offerings.
Understand and reuse Broadridge Future State Architecture patterns.
Build Broadridge Future State Architecture patterns.
Document and maintain architectural design, technical configuration and mapping
Recommend ongoing improvements to business and technology processes related to architecture patterns
Resolve complex systems integration issues
Conduct exploration of the latest technologies, and determine technologies to increase operational efficiency, infrastructure flexibility, and operational stability.
Lead, provide technical guidance, and serve as a mentor to other team members
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Comp Sci or related field (equivalent work experience may be considered)
7 years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or data architecture preferred.
3 years of experience as a technical lead preferred.
Minimum 4 years hands-on experience in architecture design, development, and implementation
In-depth understanding of database systems and architecture practices
Expertise in AWS and Azure
Expertise in Microservices and API architectures
Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience with web applications and/or other distributed application architectures
Experience with solution design, gathering requirements, transforming this information into deliverables
Exceptional decision-making, analytical and problem-solving abilities
Keen ability to exercise tact, discretion, and judgment when working with partners
Present and explain technical information in a way that establishes harmony, persuades others, and gains understanding
Accept responsibility, challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions, including the persistence and willingness to take calculated risk to stimulate, market and sell new ideas.
Knowledge of financial services concepts is an advantage in understanding our requirements
Ability to work autonomously while also having visibility into multiple teams
