Project Manager - Contract
Broadridge is growing. We are currently seeking a dynamic Project Manager in our Long Island, Deer park office. As the Project Manager, you will work as part of a team that manages initiatives impacting Tax Services products and development initiatives across the internal organization and with its strategic service delivery partners. You will coordinate activities and tasks around regulatory, client driven and new client onboarding initiatives across various technical platforms.
The Day-to-day activities involve hands-on experience through the full project management life-cycle, including project initiation, integration, scope management, resource management, scheduling, communication, risk management, procurement and reporting.
This is a temporary, contract role.
You have the ability to coordinate the tracking and reporting of vendor deliverables to Product/Vendor Manager, including escalation for critical deliverable timelines impacting testing and production.
You can assist the Product Strategy team in the day-to-day duties of all critical Tax Priority Projects. These duties include compiling and publishing meeting minutes, coordinating install and change activities, chairing weekly project and steering meetings, etc.
You are able to manage multiple priorities while adhering to tight deadlines.
Coordinating resource activities to ensure activities/timelines are maintained.
Ensure adequate documentation is maintained and delivered to adhere to reporting deadlines.
Work with the Project Management and Operation Team to develop project schedules and status reports for projects to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
Ensure reports; including progress reporting, resource tracking, and forecasting.
Work to maintain the risk register, tracking risks, handling issues, etc.
Work closely with identified operation resources to assess, coordinate, and maintain scheduled activities to successful completion and client satisfaction.
Take a dedicated approach to quality management and ensure the appropriate and adequate level of quality is assured in the delivery of projects.
Work to build an internal PMO in the tax business unit to support the On-Boarding, Operations and Product development team
Graduate of an accredited college or university with major studies in computer science, project management, or related fields.
Project Management Institution (PMI) certification or equivalent formal training.
Demonstrated success in a dynamic, fast paced project environment with shifting priorities, matrix managed resource pools, and tight deadlines.
Track Record of at least 3-5 years of Project Management, managing/coordinating projects or equivalent experience
Service oriented and bright, professional, who is outgoing, responsible self-starter and willing to take initiative.
Strong knowledge of negotiating, organization development/change management, strategic planning, action planning and supervision are required for successful performance. Very strong conceptual, analytical, judgment and communication abilities are critical.
Ability to work with clients and 3rd party vendors for implementations and resolving issues.
