This is a new role as Broadridge outside of North America looks to build out a best in class accounting and controls organization as part of continued International expansion. Role Summary:
The role encompasses the following key areas:
- Owning the monthly and quarterly reporting close processes
- Running the annual statutory reporting for the European operations
- Managing all corporate areas in Europe alongside US specialist teams, notably treasury and cash flow, tax, accounting, systems and controls.
o Develop efficient systems and control processes to mitigate risk including in complex cross border transactions
o Ensure compliance with all legal finance and statutory requirements including corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing, statutory accounting and reporting, SOX and GAAP (US and local)
o Client contract reviews, to ensure tax compliant and provide GAAP implications of structure
o Coordinate all company secretarial activities with professional advisors
- Continuous improvement
o Leading to improved productivity through technological means and offshoring
- People management
o Incorporating the development of associates employed by Broadridge and striving for personal development on a continual basis.
- Reporting into the US based VP Assistant Corporate Controller.
- Highly visible role within the organization dealing with senior management in the US and the UK organizations
Skills and experience
Qualified Accountant (ACA preferred) with at least 8 years post qualified experience, strong technical skills, along with a track record in team management
Ideally experience of working with a multinational US owned Corporate
Experience in a fast paced technology sector, software preferred
Ideally experience working within multisite partially offshored finance structure
Prior experience of M&A integration would be advantageous, but not essential
The credibility to deal with senior managers and liaise with Broadridge Corporate
