Finance Manager

Broadridge is hiring! We are seeking a highly qualified Finance Manager to work in our Jersey City, NJ office directly supporting the Corporate Information Technology group and indirectly supporting the entire Technology Infrastructure group. In this position you will provide financial oversight and be a business partner to the Senior VP, Chief Information Officer and the management team. You will also collaborate with the Broadridge India shared services team and Financial Planning & Analysis Technology team. You will coordinate the monthly close, report on monthly financials, provide timely analysis, lead FP&A quarterly forecasts, develop annual operating plans, and plan long range strategies. Additionally, you will be an individual contributor in this role, working within the Corporate Finance team and reporting to the VP, Finance —Global Technology.


  • Provide comprehensive financial analysis in support of business and finance requirements; identify key cost drivers and problem areas and make recommendations on how to mitigate
  • Perform, with limited direction, detailed analysis of financials including but not limited to:
  • Analysis of monthly financial results versus plan, forecast and prior year
  • Headcount and labor analyses
  • External benchmarking of expenses and business metrics
  • Other ad hoc analyses
  • Keep senior leadership and department managers up to date and on time for key financial deliverables
  • Provide management with improved analysis and valued decision support
  • Develop operating plan models, forecast models, and long range financial models; identify and collect relevant information from business partners or finance associates to develop budgets and forecasts; identify risks and opportunities, and advise finance and business leadership
  • Coordinate, handle and develop cross segment expense allocations using agreed upon and improved proposed methodologies
  • Collaborate with business partners in the creation of business cases and completion of Capital Appropriation Requests, some projects may cut across multiple business units
  • Actively identify and drive improvement opportunities for the finance organization and work closely with business unit finance teams to ensure improvement opportunities are implemented effectively and timely
  • Coordinate projects and initiatives among Corporate FP&A and Financial Reporting teams
  • Compile Infrastructure data across the business units utilizing the finance teams within the segments; approach and process should be consistent across the 3 segments, which will require collaboration with the GTO and ICS teams to employ standard methodologies
  • Assist in compilation and analysis of other Corporate FP&A projects beyond Technology as requested, such as Quarterly Capital Committee presentations
  • Conduct a consultative business partner approach to help the business meet its objectives while staying consistently aligned with accounting policy
  • 7+ years dynamic financial analysis and business partnering experience
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong experience using Oracle Financials, IBM TM1, Essbase, and Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Understanding of basic accounting rules and principles
  • Strong business insight
  • Nimble and responsive to ad hoc requests
  • Promote a cohesive team with both corporate and business finance segments to perform duties across the organization
  • Ability to effectively use and work with on-shore (multiple locations) and off-shore associates; some local (NJ and Long Island) recurring travel required
  • Positive outlook and a can-do attitude; someone who has a strong internal drive, is reciprocal, is adaptable, and is a self-starter
  • Exude professional accountability; ability to apply critical thinking and good judgment when faced with unstructured situations
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and duties at the same time
