DTC Settlements Associate

Broadridge is growing. We are seeking a DTC Settlements Associate to join our Deer Park, Long Island team. The settlements team here at Broadridge supports a multitude of clients. Every single day, our team collaborates with other members of the street and with the client to facilitate smooth and timely trade settlement. While the team's volume and daily activity is weighted towards the US market, our coverage includes the fast-growing global custody which is supported across the globe. Although there are client specific functions performed by the independent teams, there are similarities when processing across client streams. With the right training and motivation, you will be able to enrich your knowledge because of the broad client base that Broadridge has. Broadridge gives you exposure to many entities rather than working in one shop on one particular function. Because of this, the opportunity to develop your career is greater and can be done in a shorter amount of time.

Responsibilities:

You will assist and perform the daily DTC settlement tasks as outlined by the scope of services per client
Perform the clearance functions for DTC eligible securities
Adhere to client service level agreements (SLAs)
Strict observance of daily checklists and risk controls
Status and resolve cash and/or stock breaks between custody and client or agent along with any additional risk data that is assigned to the team
Assess and evaluate potential risk and advance to the proper channels with immediacy
Ensure reporting and/or fail status remains current and that you communicate to the client
Actively participate and contribute to personal and career development through training courses, cross training and client migrations

Qualifications:

0-3 years of relevant experience
DTC settlement experience is helpful but not required as you will be trained by an experienced associate
Ability to manage time efficiently and clearly prioritize tasks
A self-starter with experience utilizing the Microsoft Office tools
Ability to stay calm and logically work through problems/issues as they arise, often under tight deadlines
Customer service oriented, able to manage multiple tasks at a time
Works well independently and within a team
Strong research and analytical skills
