BB300 Operator


  • Sets up machine and ensures the highest quality level is achieved.
  • Ensures Line Supervisor has verified and signed off on each job.
  • Ensures the material for the job matches the material to be inserted.
  • Achieves throughput goals of at least 2500 pieces an hour. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES


Checks, signs and dates material samples in the control envelope ensuring they match the material to be inserted as well as checking for any bulletins or comments.


Set up machine and ensures all detectors are working properly which includes setting the tandem feed pockets and the timing from the rotary hoppers to the insert track. Assigns correct program to sequence reader (InTel). During set up, visually checks all belts on the machine and rubber o-rings. Immediately notifies Supervisor of any missing or damaged parts.


Responsible for setting up templates, maintaining the everyday operation and scanning in the correct job on the Jet Vision System.


Operator must have the ability to follow the in depth work instructions and keep the machine running at the best pace for the job.


Weighs and verifies the postage on a USPS scale and appropriately sets the postage meter or uses the correct indicia for the job.


Confirms the box and pallet counts are correct for each job. Confirms the addresses are correct and ensures the first and last sequence numbers match the batch ticket.


Completes all required documentation correctly including the Operator Control Log, Machine Log, Move Log and Control Envelope.


Monitors the quality of finished products. For non-sequence read jobs, operator will manually check every 500 pieces.


Maintains safety procedures during operation of equipment for self and crew.


Performs all other assigned duties.
