Associate Programmer Analyst

Broadridge is hiring an Associate Programmer Analyst out of the Pittsburgh office. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining software within our Data and Analytics offering.

For this role, you'll be self-motivated, detail oriented, and creative, with relevant experience leading software development for a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution. You'll have the opportunity to be mentored and trained under one of our leaders who has been integral to our growth. As the Director of Development, you will help lead the team into the next phase of expansion.

Produce high quality code that is well-structured, low in defects, and understandable by others.
Develop software in areas of technology that are relevant to the Data and Analytics offerings (e.g. Java, .net, JavaScript/Angular, application servers, Oracle,).
Effectively use supporting tools and technologies (source control tools, testing tools, bug tracking tools, and so on)
Develop code for software enhancements.
Develop and perform automated unit tests.
Debug and fix system defects.
Document software design and code.
Work with the QA team in a supportive and harmonious fashion, to help them diagnose possible bugs, and to advise them about testing requirements associated with new code changes made.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by being willing to take on any development task required.
Stays informed of/follows all relevant Broadridge policies to ensure the security and privacy of data.

Requirements:

BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent education and experience.
0-1 years of professional or Internship experience
You will have experience and/or the strong desire to learn the following core skills: Java, .net and experience in Web technologies such as Javascript, JSON, Angular).
Experience programming in an object oriented language (Java or .net preferred)
Experience writing SQL
Excellent analytical and communication skills
* You will have experience and/or the strong desire to learn Database technologies (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL).
