Bridgestone is currently hiring for Technology Specialist in our Des Moines, Iowa location. Seasoned IT professional providing advanced expertise in supporting the organization’s technical infrastructure.Demonstrates broad technical knowledge of multiple technologies, or an in-depth knowledge of one technology including its impact on other technologies. Understands and applies knowledge of architectural systems. Learns and applies new and emerging concepts very quickly. Applies technical skills independently and acts as a technical expert in one or more areas. Provides technical coaching to other staff members, assisting them resolve technical issues. Understands the organization’s product services, and basic business processes. Understands the business impact of different solutions, and can assess the tradeoffs between business needs, technology requirements and costs.
- Monitors the performance of installed technology, performing required maintenance and upgrades as appropriate. Identifies any resulting impacts on other technologies
•Provides technical leadership to project teams
•Proposes new technical standards and develops new migration plans to the future technology infrastructure
•Provides guidance and technical coaching to less experienced staff.
•Provides ongoing support and troubleshooting for installed technical solutions
•Maintains an awareness of new developments in their area of expertise
•Day to day support for windows servers and active directory
- Building Relationships with all areas of the business
- Strong Networking Skillset (LAN, WAN, Switches)
- Strong Server Room experience
- Project Management
- 6 years of experience and BA/BS degree
- Virtual Environment Expert (VSphere/VMWare)
- Specifically VMWare View
- Has prior experience architecting, implementing, and maintaining VMware View infrastructure
- CISCO, including UCS
- SAN (Nimble / EMC) (All Flash)
