The Position of Manager Trainee:


Manager Trainees at Hibdon Tires Plus gain significant experience in both retail sales and management.  We operate each store as an individual profit center and manager trainees assist the store manager in running the multi-million dollar business!  Our Manager Trainees are immersed in the retail business operations of their store and have the opportunity to advance within our store management ranks very quickly.  Many are promoted to the position of Store Manager within their first 2-5 years of employment. 


Once a (former) Manager Trainee achieves the position of Store Manager they receive a salary AND a monthly bonus based upon our defined business metrics, which include store profitability and customer satisfaction scores.  Most of our store managers earn between $60,000 to $100,000 or more plus benefits! The ultimate goal for each Manger Trainee is to reach the position of Store Manager.



The Track to Store Manager...


Manager Trainee:
A leader inside and outside of the store...

  • Must be very good with people
  • Educate customers and other teammates about our products and services
  • Develop lasting business-to-business relationships
  • Maintain showroom and displays
  • Assist the store in achieving tire and profit goals
  • Ensure that we provide a positive experience for each customer by delivering "Best in Retail" service
  • Meet individual sales and customer service goals
  • Develop and lead a grassroots marketing campaign for your store
  • Master basic automotive knowledge


Service Manager (Promotion #1):
Manager of the Vehicle Service Department

Responsible for everything above and...

  • Select, lead and coach your team
  • Combine technical knowledge with outstanding customer care skills
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers
  • Purchase parts, materials and equipment
  • Manage the “Bay Flow” of your store to ensure customer’s vehicles are finished correctly and on time.
    Store Manager (Promotion #2):


Store Manager (Promotion #2):

Responsible for the business operations of the entire store

Responsible for everything above and...

  • Manage the sales, marketing and operations for your store
  • Develop the weekly schedule for all store teammates
  • Develop long term relationships within your community
  • Purchasing, merchandising, advertising and promoting all products and services
  • Insure that your entire team is working cohesively so that you can consistently provide a "Best in Retail experience" to your customers.


So you may be saying to yourself, “This sounds great, but I don’t know anything about car repair!”

That’s okay! We prefer to hire people with the right attitude, passion, drive, integrity, and customer centric outlook. We can teach the necessary automotive skills, but we CANNOT teach the qualities listed above!  Believe it or not, many of our most successful manager trainees and current store managers joke that they didn’t know a steering wheel from a brake pad before they started.


Our Education and Development Programs:

As a Manager Trainee you will complete our best in industry New Teammate Guide during your first 12 weeks.  We also provide you with ongoing education courses as you progress through our organization.

  • Pre-employment drug test, physical exam and background check required.
  • Valid driver s license required.
  • A degree from an accredited 4 year University is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is not required.
  • 2-5 years of Management experience is a plus, but not required.
