Bridgestone Americas Inc. is seeking an experienced Network Engineer for the Warren County, TN facility. The Network Engineer will report to the Information Technology Manager and will be a critical member of the IT Team within the Warren plant manufacturing facility. The Network Engineer will be responsible for all designing and deploying network solutions, setting network standards, and supporting the Warren Plant. The ideal candidate must be able to move, add, and make changes to network infrastructure. Assist Technology Analysts with advanced desktop troubleshooting as well as Assist with desktop upgrades (challenging or more difficult upgrades).
The Warren County Plant is the flagship tire manufacturing facility within Bridgestone Americas Inc. Warren County produces Truck and Bus radial tires and operates on a 24/7 basis. The selected candidate will be required to routinely support activities during non-standard business hours.
Works as a critical part of the IT team:
•Demonstrates ability to design, implement, and manage LAN and wireless network environments
•Ability to use available tools to forecast utilization and to modify the environment for the efficient use of available bandwidth resources.
•Responds to incidents, issues, or questions reported by the manufacturing organization
•Interface with the Enterprise IT organization as required to effectively support the requirements of the manufacturing group including addressing service-level, uptime and availability requirements
•Supports the Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, Warren Plant in testing, planning, problem management/resolution, and deployment of storage and backup platforms.
•Demonstrates a strong customer service orientation within IT support and ability to manage projects and workloads with minimal supervision
•Demonstrates well-developed communication skills and the ability to maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with the Computer Integrated Manufacturing Development and Infrastructure teams and other technology teammates.
•Adheres to technology roadmaps governed by strategic direction, business requirements as well as resourcing and financial constraints.
•Evaluates emerging technologies against business and strategic needs
•Provide after-hours support for the manufacturing facility should issues or failures occur that impact production
•Provides support for the day to day active directory, telephone system, Windows server (building and troubleshooting), video security system and LAN
•3 – 5 + years professional IT work experience, preferably within a large organization
•Knowledge of Cisco network hardware, and support of Cisco technology
•Ability to understand the company's business needs involving manufacturing storage and backup platforms
•Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems within converged network equipment
•Ability to communicate effectively with technical staff as well as manufacturing management
•Business acumen along with excellent written and oral communication skills
•Strategic thinker with a history of creating innovative solutions
•7+ years professional IT experience, preferably within a large manufacturing organization
•Ability to understand the evolving needs of next generation manufacturing environment reliance on virtual networks
•Experience in manufacturing network environments and plant floor expertise
