MRC Lab Technician

The MRC Lab Technician position is located in Des Moines, Iowa. This position directly supports production by working in the MRC Laboratory making numerous quality checks for mixed rubber. These are required checks to ensure that stock is okay to be used downstream in the component and tire room departments.
Primary responsibility is to conduct testing & provide data to support the release of compounded rubber. The candidate will perform daily testing assignments at a speed sufficient enough to maintain production flow with zero percent error. They will operate equipment to provide release of compound and detects off batches through test results and/or specific gravity and stain test. The MRC Lab Tech will also perform re-tests and alternate testing depending on results. They will then provide data to Process Engineering as well as data for ship-out stocks.
High school Eduction or G.E.D. is required and 2 years in manufacturing or lab environment.
