WHAT YOU’LL DO

We are looking for an experienced US Benefits Lead to join our Benefits Team within our rapidly-growing People Operations organization. This role will be hands-on in scaling and developing our US benefit programs as well as leveraging vendor relationships to provide a best in class experience for our US employee base throughout the entire employee lifecycle. 

Responsibilities:

  • Project manage large scale initiatives such as US Open Enrollment and mid-year plan rollouts in coordination with vendors/brokers/consultants/ Senior Manager, Global Benefits while keeping a pulse on competitive market trends in the employer sponsored benefit space. 
  • Track and complete compliance requirements for section 125 and 401(k) plans, including (but not limited to) completion of Form 5500s, ACA filings, annual audits, and 401(k) non-discrimination testing. 
  • Ability to juggle business critical timelines, employee communications, and preparation of benefit plan materials.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Payroll, Finance, Legal, Security, Broader People Team) to seamlessly launch new programs, education initiatives, and forecasting. 
  • Identify and lead internal training opportunities including SOPs, policy review, templates, and communications for benefits, 401(k), and leave of absence programs in partnership with Senior Manager, Global Benefits. 
  • Manage vendor relationships by leading regular status calls and conducting strategic reviews. Analyze vendor statistics to provide recommendations to Senior Manager, Global Benefits with the goal of enhanced benefit plan utilization and awareness. 
  • Serve as escalation contact for US Benefits Analyst to manage employee inquiries regarding benefit eligibility, programming, and leave management. 
  • Partner on ad hoc Benefits/ People Team initiatives as needed. 

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5+ years of experience in the US benefits space. 
  • Current, in-depth knowledge of federal and state requirements related to US benefit programming including (but not limited to) COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, PPACA,  SFHCSO. 
  • Detail-oriented professional with high organizational and analytical skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal and communication skills. 
  • Advanced Excel / G Suite skills are a must - Workday experience is a strong plus! 
  • You love executing projects in a fast paced, high-growth, technology environment. 

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,000 and $120,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $110,000 and $125,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
