WHAT YOU’LL DO

We’re searching for an Engineering Manager for our Messaging Experience team, which is the team responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving the Canvas platform, our flagship product. As part of this team, you will support the orchestration and sending of messages to clients worldwide. Our products rely on sophisticated real-time and batch processing of massive data volumes, providing analytics, automated decision-making, and an industry-leading customer engagement tool.

As a key contributor to our engineering leadership, you will be instrumental in enhancing key elements of our systems while architecting for large scale. You will tackle significant engineering challenges in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment, working closely with product and design. You will manage the team and help to grow the organization, leading software engineering via architecture design, growing engineers, setting vision and goals, process and protocol, and hiring. 

WHO YOU ARE

  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a manager with a strong track record of success
  • You have experience in leading full-stack engineering teams staffed with senior engineers.
  • Experience building foundational systems at scale and spearheading software projects that significantly advanced the goals of your organization
  • Experience with iterative processes and process improvement in software engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and a user-centric attitude.

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $191,000 and $230,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $225,000 and $250,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
