Global Sales Support Specialist

As a business owner, how your customers pay you and how you receive funds are a crucial part of your operations. The Global SMB Sales Support Specialist team is here to help answer questions about how Braintree can support a business in their processing needs. Whether it’s a brand new business or an existing SMB Braintree merchant, this team provides best-in-class support with a consultative approach to solving our merchants needs. In addition to answering questions from interested merchants, this team assists existing Braintree merchants with adding new accounts to their existing portfolio, replacing accounts due to updated business ownership, and answering questions related to large changes in Braintree’s product, compliance, or accounts.

Our Sales Support Specialist team is driven by providing meaningful interactions with our new and existing merchants, identifying additional features or pricing options that could drive greater value to the merchants, and responding to questions about Braintree updates with care and consideration of how this impacts our future and present customers.

Responsibilities:
Answer inbound enquiries from SMB businesses around the world in a fast paced environment
Educate new and existing merchants on available products and features acting as their business consultant to help them maximize Braintree & PayPal’s value
Assist SMB merchants with add-location and replacement applications, addressing pricing and feature questions as they arise during the process
Work with merchants and our finance team to ensure pricing is advantageous to both parties
Support merchants through Braintree updates by fully answering their questions while anticipating additional needs
Manage multiple channels of communication in a high volume environment, addressing merchant enquiries by phone and email
Work with internal stakeholders to identify and implement efficiencies within our inbound communication channels and for merchants expanding or replacing their business with Braintree

Requirements:
Someone who enjoys solving problems, those based in numbers and those that drive non-numerical value
Proficiency in Excel
Familiarity with the start-up ecosystem and the technology sector
A self-starter and self-learner who is described by past co-workers as “incredibly resourceful”
3+ years experience in a B2B or B2C role where you were interacting directly with customers or clients
A world-class communicator who is able to articulate complex ideas in concise and clear language
Comfortable with taking risks and asking questions to gain understanding
Must be highly organized, easily adaptable, and feedback oriented
