Staff Software Engineer, Developer Ecosystem

Join our fast paced and highly collaborative team to build APIs, developer tools, and applications that power, extend and showcase Box's platform.
 
Box is building a content, collaboration, and workflow platform which hundreds of thousands of companies and developers are using to power their own businesses. We aim to help our customers, strategic partners, and developers build transformative applications using this platform that makes it easy to share content, connect content to workflows, preview content in countless formats, audit access control to this content, and much, much more. 
 
As a Developer Ecosystem engineer, you will join a full-stack team which works together to architect and build APIs, developer tools and applications that power this platform such as webhooks, SDKs, embeddable HTML widgets, developer onboarding flows, app galleries, and a whole lot more. On this team, you will work in an a rapidly iterative environment where we ship new code every day. Your leadership will help us architect long lasting designs, build scalable systems, and evangelize great engineering practices. You'll also have opportunities to partner with engineers and product managers to evangelize Box's platform and be an advocate for developers building on this platform. Ultimately, as a leader on this team, we'll look for you to coach engineers, drive agreement and get things built. Help us reimagine the future of content!

Qualifications
  • Fluency in any modern object oriented programming language like Java, PHP, Python, Javascript, etc.
  • Academic background in computer science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Bonuses
  • You’ve played with the Box APIs or you’ve developed your own APIs.
  • You contribute to developer communities like StackOverflow and GitHub.
