Sr. Staff Software Engineer, Core Platforms

As a leader on our team, you'll have the opportunity to work across organizational boundaries to deliver decisions that align with the future architecture and company goals. Your leadership will help us drive significant technology initiatives from end to end and across multiple layers of architecture. We'll look for you to provide perspective on leading industry trends, recommendations on new and emerging technologies, thought leadership on code quality, and engineering process improvements. You'll collaborate with others to uncover, pursue, and resolve complex or uncharted technical problems and share key insights. Ultimately, as an engineering leader, you will be expected to lead teams, coach engineers, drive agreement and get things built. Help us reimagine the future of content! 
  • 10+ years of experience as a software engineer. 
  • Experience with or knowledge of large scale, high volume systems.
  • Experience building scalable, highly-available service oriented architectures.
  • Fluency in any modern object oriented programming language like Java, PHP, Python, Scala, etc.
  • Academic background in computer science or a related field.
  • You’ve played with the Box APIs or you’ve developed your own APIs.
