Sr. People Business Analyst

We’re looking for a thoughtful connector of data who draws out information to form actionable intelligence on a variety of People programs and initiatives. In this highly visible role, you will own the relationship with executives across People, G&A, and the business functions to first bring insight, then support effective planning that will help drive amazing career and business growth.
- You will help drive our People decisions using analytics.The focus will be on key points in the employee (Boxer) lifecycle with a particular focus on talent acquisition, retention, and attrition drivers. An example project might be analyzing recruiter and hiring manager efficiency – and how to improve. From the insights you draw, you’ll deliver a cadence of reporting. More importantly, informed decision making will be your brand. You will support the development of the People Analytics function and present insights across the Boxer employment lifecycle on a monthly basis to the company executives and their planners.
- You make People business improvement recommendations in a hypothesis-driven, data-tested manner. This includes 1) clarify the question we need to be asking to solve the problem that needs solving; 2) collecting, analyzing and constructing the right view to the data required to answer the question and solve the problem; 3) considering your efforts through a MECE lens, leveraging large amounts of disparate data sources that includes Workday, Greenhouse, and other sources; and 4) delivering your insights to peers and executives who rely on you for actionable intelligence
- You will communicate your insights and initiatives. Through your hypothesis, data-driven insights you will deliver your findings to project managers. Additionally, you’ll provide company leaders and executives appropriate reporting, dashboards, and summary monthly executive reviews. Your work will give insight to people programs that directly support company strategy and goals.
- You're a professional business analyst. While your analytical skills are strong, what you really enjoy is finding ways to improve the business. You use data as the tool to prove that your suggestions are the right ones. You understand business process and the underpinning for removing friction in how people work.
- Your technical skills are strong, including 4+ years of experience in an analytical role. You have significant experience with Excel, Microsoft Access and a willingness to learn SQL. You are comfortable with Workday or other HRIS systems. You’re good at joining disparate data into complete data sets for analysis and simulation.
- Your business judgment is strong.You've got work experience in workforce planning and analytics, and you've got the ability to take on ambiguous business problems and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way.
- You've proven yourself as a trusted business partner. You've got exceptional business and communication skills. Management consulting experience is a plus.
- You have workforce planning and analysis experience. Examples of relevant experience include: HR Business Analyst, experience in a management consulting firm focused on HR Transformation, or workforce design, planning and optimization.
- BA/BS degree in Mathematics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of work experience as an analyst or in an analytical role.
- Experience in management consulting or other business strategy experience.
- Experience with Workday, Greenhouse, SQL
- Deep modeling experience.
- Strong Excel proficiency.
- Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment; comfort dealing with ambiguity.
- Excellent communications skills and solutions and client service-oriented, with an emphasis on creativity and diligence.
